Historic Deepwood Estate

Back on March 20th I attended a native plant sale at the Historic Deepwood Estate in Salem, Oregon. Since I'd only been there once, and it had been an autumn visit, I was really looking forward to seeing what springtime had to offer. Not only were all of the usual bulb suspects in bloom, but the native trout lilies (Erythronium oregonum) were ablaze too. Unfortunately, I was unable to capture the woodland forest floor in bloom, but I was able to snap this image of a piece of architectural folly in the landscape.
